
Procurement Supervisor - Mining Machinery Spare Parts

- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for heavy machinery spare parts, including requisition, sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order issuance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors to ensure availability, quality, and cost-effectiveness of spare parts.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with warehouse teams, and ensure optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or excesses.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality, through effective negotiation and supplier performance evaluation.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and logistics teams to understand spare parts requirements and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, and inventory metrics to management.
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within the mining or heavy machinery sectors.
- Proven knowledge of mining heavy machinery spare parts and industry standards.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in mining operations is an advantage.
