About the roleThe Energy Manager is responsible to drive energy efficiency, reduce site energy consumption, and support the company's sustainability goals by identifying and implementing energy saving initiatives. This role also ensures the site meets its energy related regulatory requirements and contributes to overall cost savings through optimized energy use. The mission is to reduce the site's energy intensity and CO2 footprint by implementing best practices, energy saving projects and innovative solutions, while maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.Key responsibilities include:Developing a multi-year plan for energy & GHG reductionMonitoring of the site energy consumption and analyzing the dataIdentifying energy saving opportunities & leading energy projectsMaintaining compliance with Energy Regulations and build foundations energy management system based on IS0 50001Training and Engaging Operators and Technicians and broader internal stakeholders such as engineering, process and procurementRegular Reporting on Energy Performance and main KPI'sAbout youBachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)Deep understanding of energy systems, energy-efficient and low-carbon technologiesFamiliarity with ISO 50001 and local energy regulations3-5 years in energy management, maintenance, or engineering (preferably in manufacturing or energy-intensive industries)Proven track record in delivering energy and CO₂ reduction projectsHands-on experience in developing multi-year energy strategies (aligned with SBTi targets)Strong project management skills (budgeting, execution, risk management)Skilled in analyzing energy consumption and identifying efficiency opportunities using EMSAbility to lead audits and manage compliance documentationFluent in EnglishAt Barry Callebaut, we are committed to Diversity & Inclusion.
