Building a sustainable future, today.Job DescriptionPurpose of Role:Perform onsite service works including but not limited to installation, troubleshooting, and repair of John Crane mechanical seals at customer premise.Key Activity:1.Adhere to Smiths and John Crane business policies and values.2.Adhere to Republic of Indonesia's and customer law and regulations.3.Adhere to Quality Management System.4.Adhere to Health, Safety and Environment procedures and regulations.5.Actively participate and contribute in QHSE programs and initiatives, including but not limited to:5.1 Comply with Safe Working Practices.5.2 Report any hazardous condition, unsafe action, incident, and accident.5.3 Comply with applicable Global Standard Operating Procedures.5.4 Maintain health and safe working environment.5.5 Participate in 5S and Continues Improvement/Kaizen.6.Perform following tasks including but not limited to:6.1 Maintain onsite service shop facilities, equipment, and tools in clean, tidy, and ready to use.6.2 Dismount mechanical seal from equipment according to customer request and Reliability Engineer.6.3 Inspect equipment condition and report to Reliability Engineer.6.4 Receive and identify incoming failed seals, notify Reliability Engineer and record it in incoming logbook.6.5 Place incoming failed seals on designated bin and incoming shelves with appropriate identification tag.6.6 Decontaminate incoming failed seals prior stripping and inspection.6.7 Perform Level 1 stripping and inspection of incoming failed seals and report to Reliability Engineer.6.8 Clean reuseable component and segregate against scrapped component.6.9 Refurbish and test seals in compliance with applicable Global SOP-SAR.6.10 Place ready to install seals in outgoing shelves and records dispatched seals in outgoing logbook.6.12 Inspect equipment and report as found condition to Reliability Engineer.6.13 Install seals onto equipment as per IOM, witness static leak test and report to Reliability Engineer.6.14 Maintain onsite material inventory in proper storage condition and report accurate quantity of incoming, consumed and scrapped parts to Reliability Engineer.7.Build and maintain good rapport with customer.Key Accountability:
- Responsible for onsite service works at Contract site in daily basis.
- At least minimum 5 years' hands on experience in mechanical maintenance (rotating) / mechanical fitter / millwright.
- Diploma in mechanical engineering
- Sound knowledge of rotating and process equipment, knowledge of mechanical seals is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good oral and written communication skill
- Basic English (minimum read and write)
- Adaptable, flexible and appreciative to different challenges
- Team player
- Able to work under pressure
- Have a good discipline to meet the required lead time
- Mechanical seal refurbishment (may include cleaning)
