As a Product Development Engineer (Fashion), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's product portfolio. You will be involved in every stage of the product life cycle, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative concepts to life. Your engineering expertise will be crucial in solving complex design challenges and ensuring that products meet the highest standards of performance and quality. With responsibility for managing project timeline and resources, you will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your organisational skills and commitment to delivering results.
- Contribute to all stages of product development, from concept generation through to manufacturing
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure product design meets functional requirements and user needs including partnering with Designer Team in HQ.
- Translate the original sketches, and defining the full specification and functional product.
- Apply engineering principles to solve complex product design challenges
- Work on fabric art creation, control drawing and artwork for plastic part decoration
- Manage project timeline and resources to ensure product development milestones are met
- Continually evaluate product performance and quality, implementing improvements as necessary
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology to inform product development strategies
The ideal candidate for this Product Development Engineer (Fashion) role will bring a strong technical background, great fashion sense, coupled with proven experience in product development within the Fashion/toys industry. You will find balance between design intent and manufacturing execution. The candidate will require to have a good knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development flow and design prowess. An excellent project management skills is also required for you to juggle multiple projects while maintaining high standards of work. Your strong interpersonal skills will allow you to build effective relationships within your team and across different departments. Above all, your commitment to continuous learning will ensure that you stay at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements.
- Minimum D3 or Bachelor Degree in Product Design, Fashion Design and any design related field
- Proven 3-5 years of experience in a Product Design or Fashion Design role within the Fashion/Toys manufacturing industry
- Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Adobe Illustration, Photoshop, 3D software : Freeform, Rhinos or Blender
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements
- Fluent in English
- Willing to be based in Cikarang area
