Wellness will also be an integral part of the resort experience, with a vast wellness and recreation village that will feature a gym, a spa, and Kid Club.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Banquet Manager oversees all aspects of banquet operations to ensure flawless execution of events, exceptional guest service, and operational excellence. This position is assist Banquet Manager and responsible for the leadership, training, and performance of the banquet team, working closely with Sales & Events, Culinary, and other departments to deliver a luxury-level experience for all meetings, weddings, galas, and private events hosted in the hotel.Assist and ensure that the setup of function room is in accordance to Banquet Event OrderEnsure that all pre requisitions for the functions are checked correctly and ready for setting up when the time arrivesCo-ordinate closely with Chef and to have a clear understanding on the menu served for the eventSupervise the maintenance of service standards during banquet service operationsRespond to any demands or complaints from guests with tact, sincerity and promptly. To keep Banquet Manager informed of incidents during or after the functionKeep track of banquet service operating equipment to ensure par level for smooth operationsHandle requisition of items which require replacementAttend all meetings and trainings as assigned by managementEnsure that all service and storage areas are kept safe, clean and lockedAssist the management to supervise the junior team members and casual labour under his/her leadership/section and to ensure all tasks assigned/required in the outlet are carried out on time and according to instruction and departmental standards.Plan the manning allocation/work assignment per Banquet eventAssist Banquet Manager in staff's development, counselling and resolving staff conflictInput weekly entry of Banquet staff overtime and allowancesEstablish and maintain effective employee working relationships.Qualifications

Diploma in Hotel / Hospitality Management
Certificate in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English laguage
Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
