Job DescriptionAVIATION SECURITY EXECUTIVEOVERVIEW:Location: Tangerang, IndonesiaDepartment: Aviation SecurityEntity: IAAStatus: Full timeJOB DESCRIPTION:YOUR ROLE AS A:Aviation Security Executive safeguards Indonesia AirAsia’s operations by leading investigations, intelligence gathering, and enforcement efforts to detect and prevent security threats. The role involves coordinating with national enforcement bodies, conducting undercover operations, and identifying systemic vulnerabilities. You will ensure compliance with regulations, maintain strict confidentiality, and deliver actionable recommendations to strengthen aviation security programs.WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:Functional ResponsibilityMaintain personal and organizational integrity within the Indonesia AirAsia organization to the highest standards.Lead enforcement and intelligence operations to detect, investigate, and prevent threats to aviation security.Act as the focal point for internal security investigations and coordination with national intelligence and enforcement bodies.Safeguard company operations through covert monitoring, system assessments, and intelligence gathering.Role ResponsibilityConduct investigations related to aviation security breaches or threats.Maintain compliance with national legislation and company regulations.Collaborate with external relevant enforcement agencies.Identify systemic weaknesses and support security program improvement.Maintain strict confidentiality of all investigation records.Maintain Investigation Reports and Standards for Compliance Audit purposes.Functional DutiesConduct investigations on aviation security-related incidents under instruction from the Head of Aviation Security and report findings.Liaise with relevant external enforcement bodies for aviation-related intelligence matters.Conduct undercover surveillance operations with appropriate internal clearance.Deliver structured investigation reports with root cause analysis and recommended actions.Build Relapse Prevention recommendations and work with relevant internal stakeholders such as Quality Assurance, Internal Audit, etc.Role DutiesMonitor systemic vulnerabilities and provide early warnings.Ensure all investigative documents are stored securely and treated as confidential.Maintain readiness to respond to security threats or complex internal incidents.Support organizational response with accurate intelligence assessments.WHO YOU ARE:MeritsMinimum Experience: 3–5 years in specialized aviation security rolesEducation Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferredProfessional Certification like AvSec Basic + applicable specialty (QA, Enforcement, etc.) + Specialized certifications (e.g., Investigation, Profiling, QA)Traits:Leadership & Management SkillsAdvanced mentoring skillsAble to give and receive feedbackProcedural DevelopmentAble to develop SOP and workflow within own scope based on regulatory and internal requirementsFunctional & Technical Expertise:Incident handlingSOP complianceLeading AuditsInspection TestCompliance trackingAdvanced reportingStakeholder engagementInter-agency coordinationCross-functional internal coordinationRelationship buildingAnalytical & Investigative SkillsIntermediate investigative & analytical focusIntermediate written & spoken EnglishCommunication SkillsClear and articulate presentation skillsAdvanced reporting skillsSome understanding of security technology and tools used in the aviation industry (Preferred),Some familiarity with Artificial Intelligence utilization in the workplace (Preferred)WHERE YOU’LL GO:Dispatcher to captain, ramp agent to data analyst, brand executive to CEO - these are some Dare To Dream stories of our Allstars.Based on your performance and contribution in this role, you’ll grow into becoming an Aviation Security Senior Executive.
