- Oversee all financial aspects of the production process, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Develop and implement cost control measures to optimise production costs and improve profitability, while maintaining product quality standards.
- Monitor and analyse production expenses, variances, and trends to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with production managers and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for reducing waste, improving efficiency, and increasing productivity.
- Prepare regular financial reports and performance metrics to track production costs, analyse variances, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
- Conduct financial evaluations of production projects and initiatives to assess their feasibility, profitability, and return on investment.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulations related to financial management and cost control within the manufacturing environment.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles within the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on cost controlling and financial analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; additional professional certifications such as CPA or CMA would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives and improving profitability in a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience in multinational companies.
- In-depth knowledge of production cost analysis, variance analysis, and budgeting processes, with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and inventory control, with the ability to identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency improvements.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, including ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
