- Proactively identify and engage with promising start-ups through networking, attending industry events, and monitoring market trends. You'll be the first point of contact for many founders and are responsible for managing the firm's pipeline of potential investments.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments. This involves deep dives into business models, financial projections, market opportunities, and competitive landscapes. You'll build financial models to project revenue and analyze expenses, and perform valuation analysis to assess a target company's worth.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the firm's partners and investment committee. These documents synthesize your research and analysis, presenting a clear, data-driven case for or against an investment.
- Work closely with existing portfolio companies, offering strategic guidance and operational support. This includes monitoring their performance, providing introductions to key contacts, and helping them overcome challenges as they grow.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, other investors, and industry experts to expand the firm's network and enhance deal flow.
- Analytical: Exceptional financial modelling, valuation, and quantitative skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of a specific sector (e.g., SaaS, fintech, AI, healthcare) is a significant advantage.
