Agrophysiology Specialist

• Create and manage of master plant research as short-term plan, middle-term plan and long-term plan based on thematic research.
• Implement the whole experiment plans as described in master-plan through closed collaboration with other such FOES Dept, Analtycal Lab, operational mills and estates, and other related unit (external and internal company).
• Intensive reporting as scientific report related to field experiments (progress or/and final report), literature study, joint research, specific case in both mills and estates sites.
• Intense to guide and coaching whole Agrophysiology manpower to manage and improve the sense of belonging to the experiments (recording, sampling, measurement data mining, data analysis, solving problem, explain the urgency of experiment).
• Kind of responsibility based on knowledge :
• - Understanding the main concept of source-sink relationship and its influence to FFB production, bunch development, oil synthesis and quality, sex-ratio, carbon allocation to both vegetative and generative organ, etc.
• - Dynamic of carbon assimilation related to biotic (planting material, hormone or PGR application, oil deposition stages, etc) and abiotic factors (CO2 concentration, air temperature, light quality and quantity, VPD, drought, fertilizer, ecology, etc).
• - Created ideotype oil palm in order to increase productivity based on canopy-architecture, light distribution, planting density, modified planting design, etc).
• - Assisted the operational problems (mills and estates) through a good experiment methodology until get a recommendation related to abnormality cases (OER declining, oil-loss test, material balance for new material, case of hard-bunch and/or rotten-bunch, frond fracture, impact haze to OER, etc).
