Based in Jakarta, as a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all aspects of taxation are managed effectively. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising the tax team, delivering compliance guidelines, implementing internal control campaigns, supporting statutory audits, liaising with consultants on Transfer Pricing documentation, advising on intercompany transactions, staying updated on changes in regulations, and coordinating audits. Your ability to stay ahead of changes in regulations and advise on efficient methods for transactions will be key to your success in this role.
- Supervise the tax team to ensure timely and accurate completion of various tax filings in Indonesia
- Deliver tax compliance guidelines to local management and prepare the tax budget
- Implement regular internal control campaigns with management and other divisions to improve tax awareness and risk control
- Stay updated on practical tax compliance guidance
- Support statutory audits with local auditors on tax matters
- Liaise with tax consultants in preparing Transfer Pricing documentations for annual intercompany transaction reporting
- Advise the CFO on the most tax-efficient methods for intercompany transactions
- Keep abreast of changes in tax rules and regulations, assess their impact, and suggest actions to mitigate risks and tap into potential planning opportunities
- Coordinate tax audits to avoid unexpected or unacceptable reputational damages or tax exposures
The ideal Tax Manager will bring a wealth of experience in the tax domain, with a strong understanding of Indonesian tax regulations. You should have a minimum of 8 - 10 years' work experience, including time spent in a top 10 tax consulting firm and a multinational company within a similar industry. Your ability to handle tax disputes and your fluency in English will be key assets in this role. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Fiscal is required, and holding a tax consulting certificate would be an added advantage.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Fiscal from a reputable university is required
- Excellent understanding of Indonesian tax regulations including corporate income tax, withholding tax and value added tax is essential
- Between 8 - 10 years' work experience in the tax domain is necessary
- Experience should include four to five years in a top 10 tax consulting firm and four to five years in a multinational company
- Experience handling tax disputes (tax audit, tax objection or tax appeal) would be advantageous
- Fluency in English is a must
- Holding a tax consulting certificate would be beneficial
