
Field Technician – ILI Pipeline Services

The general role for the Field Technician is to ensure the proper execution of field work and coordination of the field activities.Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities
- Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports
- Discuss equipment and tools requirements including auxiliaries, AGM's, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares, toolbox and all other required tools for use in the field, etc.
- Study and analyze project information document, operation manuals, pigging procedures and other project-related documents
- Establish professional contact with client’s field personnel creating friendly working relations
- Execute field work in a safe, effective and efficient manner in accordance with PIPECARE QA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource and financial planning
- Coordinate field activities between PIPECARE team, subcontractor, client and other involved parties
- Perform ILI runs successfully without data loss as per POF & API standards
- Conduct sufficient cleaning runs to the established PIPECARE cleaning criteria
- Conduct site survey and DGPs Survey in line with PIPECARE procedures and operational requirement
- Execute all other tasks as requested by Team Leader within the assigned job role.

- Submission of daily reports
- Comply always and fully with PIPECARE HSE requirements
- Be quality conscious (dynamic approach towards quality improvement and aim at getting things right first time)

- Assure timely and accurate reporting to PIPECARE
- Identify training requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant)
- Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure
- Computer skills in Microsoft word, excel and outlook at an intermediate level
- Fluency in English, the language of the Territory is an advantage
- Ability to travel extensively

- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
- Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
