- Lead procurement activities from sourcing to contract management, overseeing vendor selection, bidding processes, and contract negotiations.
- Manage logistics and transportation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to mine sites.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing costs.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to proactively address challenges and leverage opportunities within the supply chain.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role with at least 3-year exposure in leadership capacity within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing supply chain strategies.
- Possesses strong network of vendor / suppliers within the industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
