Job DescriptionSparks Preschool is looking for a passionate and experienced Pre-Nursery Curriculum Designer to lead the design and implementation of developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences for children aged 12–24 months. This role requires deep expertise in infant-toddler development, curriculum building, teacher support, and the ability to communicate the value of the program to parents with confidence and clarity.The candidate will be responsible for:
  • Designing a full-year curriculum that aligns with child development milestones for ages 12–24 months, including weekly themes and learning experiences focused on sensory exploration, early communication, and parent-child bonding.
  • Developing play-based lesson plans and teacher guides that are practical, meaningful, and parent-inclusive.
  • Embedding age-appropriate learning goals across all developmental domains (motor, language, cognitive, social-emotional).
  • Creating and curating materials that help teachers engage both toddlers and their parents in the classroom.
  • Leading training, mentoring, and coaching for Pre-Nursery teachers to ensure consistent and high-quality implementation.
  • Delivering clear and compelling program presentations to parents—explaining the philosophy, curriculum structure, and developmental goals in accessible and engaging ways.
  • Designing communication tools for parents (e.g., learning overviews, at-home activity suggestions, milestone trackers).
  • Collaborating with the academic and operations teams to align the curriculum with school-wide priorities and values.
  • Evaluating and improving curriculum based on teacher feedback, classroom observations, and parent input.
Job RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with children aged 0–3, particularly in infant or toddler classrooms.
  • At least 2 years of experience in curriculum design or early childhood program development.
  • Strong understanding of the developmental needs and milestones of infants and toddlers.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents and support their role as co-learners in the classroom.
  • Experience presenting or pitching programs to parents, caregivers, or community stakeholders in formal or informal settings.
  • Strong writing and material-development skills (e.g., lesson plans, overviews, parent letters).
  • Familiarity with child-led, play-based, or attachment-informed learning approaches.
Preferred Skills & Traits:
  • Experience in play-based early childhood philosophies.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, especially with adult learners and parent audiences.
  • Ability to synthesize research and theory into practical, joyful classroom practices.
  • Skilled in coaching, training, and supporting early childhood educators.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities, including proficiency in Canva for visual content creation and Google Workspace tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Docs, Slides) for planning, tracking, and collaboration.
