- Develop risk mitigation plans to address identified risks proactively.
- Maintain alternate supplier options and contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
- Engage with various departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Align purchasing strategies with departmental goals and overall company objectives.
- Foster communication and collaboration to ensure efficient procurement processes.
- Regularly review procurement processes and procedures to identify areas for optimization.
- Implement improvements to enhance work rate, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Create budgets for procurement activities, including material purchases and supplier contracts.
- Verify all documents related to procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation for payment preparation and record-keeping purposes.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the agriculture or plantation industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and optimize supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and ethical sourcing standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong vendor relationships.
