Adecco is representing a leading heavy equipment rental and services company with an extensive operational footprint in Asia has recently expanded into the Indonesian market. We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of taxation for our Indonesian operations while ensuring compliance with both local and international tax regulations. This role will require regular interaction with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and head office teams.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably within multinational companies or the heavy equipment/construction-related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing tax audits and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant tax software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) and proficient in English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-border teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the company's tax function in Indonesia, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable local taxes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, payments, and compliance with all relevant Indonesian tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency while maintaining compliance.
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the business, providing timely recommendations to management and headquarters.
  • Prepare, review, and submit tax reports to both local authorities and head office.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and relevant government agencies.
  • Provide guidance to internal departments on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Coordinate and support tax audits, investigations, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Maintain close communication with Mandarin-speaking regional and head office teams on tax strategy, reporting, and compliance matters.
