- Develop and manage the hospital's annual budget in collaboration with department heads.
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and control operating expenses to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Analyze variances and implement cost-saving measures.
- Oversee the hospital's revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and reimbursement processes.
- Collaborate with billing and coding teams to optimize revenue capture.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, healthcare laws, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies during financial audits.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree (MBA or MHA) is often preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement, and regulatory requirements.
- Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
