You will work with an award-winning company, certified as a Great Place to Work.Position OverviewThe Housekeeping Intern is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. This role involves learning and executing daily housekeeping operations while understanding Capella Ubud's brand values and luxury service standards. The intern will receive hands-on training and work closely with colleagues from various departments, including direct collaboration with leadership teams and stakeholders.The Role
  • Room & Public Area Upkeep: Assist in maintaining guest rooms, suites, and public areas to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Guest Interaction: Provide friendly and discreet service, ensuring guest requests are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Amenity Preparation: Ensure all room amenities, linens, and toiletries are well-stocked and presented according to hotel standards.
  • Laundry & Linen Management: Assist in handling laundry operations, including sorting, cleaning, and organizing linens.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Support in monitoring housekeeping inventory and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with the Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Forbes Service Standards: Follow luxury service guidelines to uphold Capella Ubud's world-class hospitality reputation.
  • Cleanliness & Hygiene Compliance: Adhere to hotel hygiene and safety regulations, ensuring all areas are sanitized and well-maintained.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Rotate within different housekeeping sub-departments and be open to assisting in other hotel areas when needed.
Talent Profile:
  • An active student that enrolled in a College or University preferably in Hotel/Hospitality Management or Room Division.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations
  • Very good command in spoken and written English, additional languages will be an advantage
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Possess a great communication skill
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time
  • Flexible regarding work schedules
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Frequent lifting carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders and stairs
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as a part of the team with minimum supervision
