As a Mining Director, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and execute the company's mining strategy from permit stage through to operational readiness and production.
  • Provide strategic direction in alignment with local regulations, company objectives, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead all permitting activities including AMDAL, IUP, RKAB, and feasibility studies.
  • Ensure full compliance with GOI/ESDM regulations and engage proactively with government authorities.
  • Oversee technical assessments, geological studies, and exploration programs to support mine planning.
  • Coordinate infrastructure design including road access, pit layout, stockpile areas, and water management.
  • Recruit, structure, and lead a cross-functional mining team including geology, engineering, HSE, legal, and community relations.
  • Foster a culture of safety, integrity, and high performance.
  • Lead technical and financial due diligence for project development and investment decisions.
  • Oversee the development of the mine plan and operational roadmap to move from permit to construction and production phase.
  • Represent the company in stakeholder meetings, government relations, and community discussions.
  • Lead ESG-related initiatives including community development, environmental impact, and sustainability efforts.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies from legal, environmental, and operational standpoints.
  • Work with finance and executive team to establish project budgets, cost forecasts, and investment schedules.
Strong commitment to sustainable, value-added miningCore focus on professionalism, integrity, and innovationA successful Mining Director should have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
  • Proven experience in leading mining projects from permit to production, preferably in greenfield operations.
  • Deep understanding of Indonesian mining laws, permitting process, and ESDM reporting requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • POP and POM certification preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
