As a SAP Manufacturing Local Data Steward supporting the Planning Team, you will be trusted to work at the Batam Plant. The role is to provide SAP System and Material Master Process expertise and provide support to associates and SAP business process owners. Serve as a primary point of contact for Global Data Management (GDM) in manufacturing for the creation, activation and maintenance of SAP material master data and Manufacturing Master Data and comply with local operational standards and guidelines to ensure a high degree of data accuracy, consistency and completeness.In this role, a typical day will include:Analyze, coordinate and complete new material master setup and change requests in Alcon ERP systems to support day-to-day business operationsWork closely with other business teams like Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and R2P to address and resolve master data issues in a timely mannerParticipate in Global Data Management (GDM) quarterly and monthly data steward meetings to understand and communicate new processes and standards to other team membersCoordinate data setup activities like costing, pricing, source list, PIRs and material data extension approvals to support product launches in manufacturingCollect and store evidence of each change event related to financially controlled material master attributes and perform monthly financial control audits utilizing standard guidelines Act as point of contact for internal and external financial audits related to area of controlServe as primary contact within local manufacturing business when business disruption occurs related to materials (transactional, logistical)Understand local manufacturing structure to perform appropriate extensions and setups to support local supply chain activities & gain approvals in a timely mannerWorks directly with the Global Data Management team to represent the manufacturing site as changes to Global material settings are proposed (UOM, GTIN, Descriptions, etc.)Meeting timeline for material master creation / extension with high degree of qualityWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:Degree in Information Technologies / Engineering / Supply Chain or relevant fieldAt least 3 years of experience in using SAP ERP system or SAP Material Master in any industryStrong in Communication Skills to work with other Stakeholders locally and globallyProficient in communicating in English both verbally and written to work with the Global teamComfortable to be working outside of normal working hours if requiredThis is a 1-year contract as a startingAlcon CareersSee your impact at alcon.com/careersATTENTION: Current Alcon Employee/Contingent WorkerIf you are currently an active employee/contingent worker at Alcon, please click the appropriate link below to apply on the Internal Career site.
