- Build and maintain strategic, productive relationships with merchants, C-Level, acting as a trusted advisor by applying deep knowledge of industries, market trends, and business challenges
- Identify macro and micro market trends, correlate mid- and long-term issues, analyze external factors affecting merchant performance, and propose actionable recommendations to mitigate risks or drive growth
- Guide the team by providing strategies and building blocks using Gojek's product portfolio, and support them in building a long-term, sustainable pipeline to achieve sales targets and drive merchant growth.
- Guide the team in developing and executing end-to-end joint business plans, monitoring merchant performance against targets, creating sales forecasts based on Gojek's plans and market conditions, assessing competitors, and anticipating business challenges
- Represents merchants internally, and coordinates with other teams to meet merchant needs and support sales and business growth
- Lead problem-solving initiatives to ensure successful execution and boost Gojek's profitability and merchant investment
- Lead and develop the team's skills in problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management through coaching, training, and performance reviews to achieve business goals and build a high-performing team.
- Holds a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, ideally in Marketing, Business, Economics, or Communications
- Has at least 8 years of relevant experience in managing international/multinational merchants and/or top nation-wide brands, with additional experience in the F&B, retail, or groceries industry considered a plus
- Possesses a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a team
- A passionate, tech-savvy, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong eagerness to learn
- Demonstrates the ability to influence others with a strong drive and passion to achieve sales targets and goals, and maintains a result-oriented mindset
- Capable of leveraging data analytical skills to provide strategic direction, manage conflict, and develop effective resolutions.
- Able to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced, and high-pressure environments
- Exhibits strong presentation skills for engaging top decision makers or senior management, excels in negotiation and deal-closing, is proficient in MS Office Suite and similar tools, and is fluent in English
